The Bishop of Leicester announces the resignation of the Venerable Paul Hackwood as Archdeacon of Loughborough with effect from 30 August 2009.
 
As a result of a generous charitable donation it has been made possible for Paul to be released from his responsibilities as Archdeacon of Loughborough in order to focus on supporting the Senior Management of the Church Urban Fund (CUF) in raising funds and changing lives in our poorest communities across England as we enter a time of recession.  Paul is Chair of the CUF trustees.
 
He will retain his role as Canon Residentiary at Leicester Cathedral.
