Church Mission Giving
Please consider becoming a Church Urban Fund mission partner. Your mission giving will help us to support churches working in some of the most deprived areas of England.

Many churches review their outreach and mission giving at this time of year. If this is the case for you then we would like to ask you and your P.C.C. to consider the Church Urban Fund as a mission partner to be added to the list of charities you regularly support.

We are the only national charity which is church-based and targets the poorest localities. The Church of England can be proud that over the last 21 years, thousands of projects supported by Church Urban Fund have brought hope to hundreds of thousands of individuals as part of the Church’s mission to be good news to the poor.

Earlier this year, we commissioned Coventry University to assess the effectiveness of the faith-based community work that we support. The research report, entitled Churches in Action, identifies nine key themes that make faith-based projects distinctive and effective. Writing in the foreward to the report, the Archbishop of Canterbury says: "This research reveals how simple it can be to offer people a fresh start, to open the way to healing and renewal, new friendships and possibilities. It is a story of how God’s love for every one of us is never lost however far we stray, however hard the times we have to live through. If you have any doubts about the contribution that the Christian faith makes to the life of our country, read this." You can download the full Churches in Action report to explore it in more depth.
